On Thursday, February 28th, 2013, at 19:30, Gordon Gallery will open the first part of the solo exhibition by renowned artist Know Hope – “Things That Stand Between.” The second part of the exhibition, “Things Left Standing Behind” will open on Thursday, March 21st at 19:30.

After years of extensive work and creation in Israel and abroad, this will be Know hope‘s first solo exhibition at a gallery in Israel.

Using his unique iconography Know Hope developed during the years, he continues his observation on the various forms of intermediate states, while focusing on ‘things that stand between’- borders, fences, flags and walls, and attempts to examine their dialectic meaning.

In the exhibition, Know Hope attempts to portray these images while perceiving them as an emotional mechanism. The artist does so by personifying these symbols and creating parallels between their actual functional purpose and minor human conditions that compose the layered everyday reality.
